Englewood has a new cookie champion! Abigail “Abby” Cataloni, a dedicated member of Girl Scout Troop 617, has earned the prestigious title of “Top Cookie Entrepreneur” for selling an incredible 1,587 boxes of Girl Scout cookies, the highest total in the Englewood area.
A seventh grader at SKY Academy, Abby has been involved in Girl Scouts for eight years, developing leadership skills, teamwork, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Her impressive cookie sales not only highlight her hard work and determination, but they also contribute to funding her troop’s many activities, including outdoor adventures, community service projects, and travel opportunities.
Troop 617 has used proceeds from the Girl Scout Cookie Program to embark on exciting experiences, including attending the 2023 Girl Scout National Convention in Orlando and traveling to Savannah, Georgia, the historic birthplace of Girl Scouts of the USA. These sales go beyond just cookies—they help empower young girls, teach financial literacy, and support future opportunities for Scouts like Abby.
