The community is invited to this financial presentation on Tuesday, September 23, from 6:30-8:00pm. The presentation will be repeated on Monday, October 6, from 2:00-3:30pm. They will be held at Gulf Cove United Methodist Church, 1100 South McCall Road, in the Gulf Cove area of Port Charlotte (phone 941-697-1747). This 90-minute information session will be composed of topics dear to many faith-based folks with servant hearts.
The panel captain and moderator is Pat Courtney-Strong. The panel has three participants. Alfred Current is with the Wampler Varner Insurance Group, and is passionate about sharing ideas about avoiding unknown and unnecessary financial pitfalls. Shelley Strickland is the CEO of the Charlotte County Community Foundation, and is well versed in the “why” of giving. Katharine Payne is an attorney in Punta Gorda who specializes in taxation, wills, trusts, and estates.
The panel’s objective is to give attendees real, useful, and tangible ideas through a diverse disciplinary approach, that may prove helpful in identifying needs, goals, concerns, and dreams. People they speak with are grateful for their help with legacy planning and strategies to become more effective, efficient, and impactful.
Attendees will walk away with new ideas about “why,” deeper knowledge about “what,” and how better to help the people and organizations they love.
