Plan to come down to West Dearborn Street for the Christmas Walk on Saturday, December 9, sponsored by Old Englewood Village Association (OEVA). The festivities will be held at Pioneer Plaza (325 W. Dearborn Street) with music, food trucks, cookie decorating, and sleigh rides with Santa. Englewood Elementary School’s fourth & fifth grade choir is scheduled to perform on the stage. The festivities begin with a parade welcoming Santa to town. The parade kicks off from the Veterans Memorial at the end of West Dearborn at 4:30pm and travels east on Dearborn to Mango Street. Decorate your bike or golf cart and join in the parade. (Golf carts are limited to the first 30 entries and you must register by emailing Deb at [email protected]). There will be 25 kids’ bikes raffled off during the event; tickets may be obtained starting at 4pm at the OEVA tent in Pioneer Plaza. Please note that Dearborn Street will be closed from 4 to 7pm that day for the event.
