The Charlotte County Libraries & History Summer Reading program will kick off on Saturday, June 1, 11am to 1pm, with a party at the Englewood Charlotte Public Library, 3450 N. Access Road. The year’s theme is “Adventure Begins at the Library.” Participants can enjoy free family activities and pick up a summer reading goody bag complete with a reading log to jumpstart their summer adventure. Kids will also have the opportunity to receive a free vision screening, courtesy of the Englewood Lions. Participants will enjoy eight weeks of non-stop learning fun while traveling through time, experiencing far off places, and delving into incredible stories of heroism and new discoveries designed to build and maintain school-readiness skills outside of the classroom.
