Farlow’s Receive Ian Grant

 Farlow’s on the Water recently received a $20,000 grant from the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association (FRLA) for Hurricane Ian repairs. Owner Laurie Farlow submitted the grant request to the FRLA Disaster Relief Fund that strives to provide economic relief for Florida’s hospitality industry following an emergency event. A condition of the grant was that 50% was to be given to the restaurant’s staff. To qualify, employees submitted detailed information of their needs and spending with receipts. Five employees have been given $3,000 each for their Hurricane Ian repairs. Laurie said that having seen the hardships that so many of their employees faced after the hurricane, she applied for the grant and is so grateful that the restaurant did receive grant money.
