On Friday, June 28th, the Englewood branch of Fifth Third Bank celebrated their grand re-opening, following a complete renovation made in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. The fresh, updated contemporary-decorated interior is welcoming and geared to enhance and facilitate the interactions customers have with the bank. There is a technical desk where customers can receive help with online banking issues and questions about mobile banking. Two semi-private rooms offer customers a spot to talk with bank personnel whenever the private offices are filled. A self-serve café offers coffee and beverages. Fifth Third Bank was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1858 and over time has expanded beyond the tri-state (Ohio, Indiana & Kentucky) area. Nicola’s Italian Kitchen has posted an update regarding their inside dining room reopening at the restaurant, 4343 S. Access Road. The hoped-for reopening date of mid-to-late August will not be happening due to ongoing repair issues. The restaurant will continue to offer a condensed menu and daily/weekly specials of your favorite dishes from their food truck parked at the restaurant. The staff volunteers their time to serve the community and socialize with customers. So, don’t let the lack of indoor dining stop you from enjoying one of Nicola’s delicious dinners or pizza. National Hire a Veteran Day
As part of National Hire a Veteran Day on Thursday, July 25th, Sarasota County government will host its first Hire a Veteran Job Fair from 10am to 2pm at the county government office, 2200 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota. Veterans of all military services, disabled veterans, National Guard and Reserve, spouses of active-duty military, and Gold Star families are encouraged to apply. Summer Financial Seminars
The Trust and Wealth Management Services Division at Crews Bank & Trust will present vital information on estate, investment and planning topics throughout July and August. All seminars are complimentary and will take place at various area locations. The Englewood Board of Realtors (EABOR) is holding an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) Designation Course on Tuesday & Wednesday, October 15 & 16, 8:30am to 5pm, at their office, 3952 N. Access Road. This two-day course is the first step towards becoming a ABR designee and will cover methods, tools and techniques to provide the support and services that buyers want and how to increase your revenue and referrals and reduce your risk.
