Leandra Allbrook Receives Lemon Bay Conservancy Scholarship

At the 2024 Lemon Bay High School Senior Scholarship Night, Lemon Bay Conservancy President Irene Slattery was pleased to award the LBC Elsie Bracken Environmental Science Scholarship to graduating senior Leandra Allbrook.

This scholarship is awarded annually to an LBHS senior who demonstrates interest in conservation and the environment, and who plans to pursue a degree in environmental science. Leandra will graduate with honors and is looking forward to attending University of West Florida, majoring in Marine Research. Leandra has enjoyed and excelled in many athletic programs during her four years of high school. She has actively engaged in community service, including participation in Lemon Bay Conservancy’s Vertical Oyster Garden program. Leandra has participated in multiple extra-curricular activities, including varsity swimming, Englewood Sailing Association, JROTC Orienteering Team and Manta Athletic Leadership Academy. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, nature, music and sailing. Lemon Bay Conservancy is an Englewood-based non-profit organization focused on protecting local water quality and important environmental lands.
