North Port Parks & Recreation offers Midday Hangout for homeschool students

NORTH PORT, FL—North Port Parks & Recreation is excited to announce upcoming dates for Midday Hangout, a program designed for homeschool students. This engaging program offers children the chance to have fun, stay active and make new friends through structured activities such as sports, games and crafts.

Held from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center, 1602 Kramer Way, Midday Hangout provides a welcoming space for children who love to play and socialize. Each month features a new theme or activity, including archery, creative arts, and friendly competitions.

This program offers homeschool students a great opportunity to stay active, learn new skills, and build friendships in a relaxed, supportive environment. It is open to students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The cost is $5 for North Port residents and $6 for non-residents.

Upcoming Midday Hangout dates and activities include:

  • Sept. 3: Archery
  • Oct. 1: Fish Frenzy
  • Nov. 5: Build & Battle
  • Dec. 3: Coloring Hoops
