The City of North Port is inviting the community to celebrate the holiday season with the return of a popular tradition, the Poinsettia Parade & Festival, on Saturday, December 6, at City Center Campus.
This year’s festivities, themed “Once Upon a North Port Holiday,” will bring fairy tales and holiday classics to life through creative floats, costumes, and an abundance of poinsettias. Parade participants are encouraged to draw inspiration from storybook legends, winter wonderlands, and whimsical characters.

The celebration kicks off at 3 p.m. with the Poinsettia Festival on the City Center Front Green, 4970 City Hall Blvd. Presented by Resurrection Pools, the festival will run until 7 p.m. and include live entertainment, mobile food vendors, merchandise booths, holiday attractions, and the city’s annual tree lighting ceremony. Admission and parking are free.
The Poinsettia Parade, sponsored by Quality TV, begins at 5 p.m. and will travel south along Sumter Boulevard, concluding at the festival grounds. The parade typically features more than 50 entries, including local businesses, nonprofits, schools, and performance groups.
Organizations interested in participating are encouraged to apply early. Parade entry is $30 per unit. Governmental agencies, active-duty U.S. military, and qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofits may participate at no cost.
Applications for parade entries, food vendors, and merchants are available at NorthPortFL.gov/Vendor-Opportunities.
Sponsorship packages are also available for businesses looking to support the event and gain brand visibility with thousands of attendees. For more information about sponsorship opportunities, contact Kimberly Lencki, Community Partnership & Engagement Manager, at 941-429-7143 or KLencki@NorthPortFL.gov.
