Poinsettia Parade and Festival returns December 6

NORTH PORT, FL — The City of North Port will kick off the holiday season with the annual Poinsettia Parade and Festival, presented by Quality TV and Resurrection Pools, on Saturday, December 6. The theme for this year’s event is “Once Upon a North Port Holiday,” which will set the tone for a full day of family-friendly entertainment and seasonal activities. Admission, parking and shuttle service from the Morgan Family Community Center are free.

The Poinsettia Festival, presented by Resurrection Pools, will run from 3 to 7 p.m. at City Center at 4970 City Hall Boulevard. Guests can browse the Yuletide Shopping and Food Village with local vendors, holiday merchandise and seasonal snacks. Children can enjoy the Candy Cane Kid Zone featuring bounce houses, games and other activities, along with hands-on crafts at the Little Elves Craft Workshop.

Santa’s Photo Stop will be open from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the George Mullen Activity Center. Families can meet Santa, take photos and share holiday wish lists before he heads out to help lead the parade.

The Poinsettia Parade, presented by Quality TV, will begin at 5 p.m. with floats, performers and marching bands bringing light and color to Sumter Boulevard. The procession will highlight creative designs, festive attire and the strong community spirit of North Port.
