Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) just wrapped up its biggest year ever for passenger traffic.
December 2025 dipped a bit, fewer than 20,000 passengers compared to the previous December, but that small drop didn’t slow the airport down. By the end of the year, over 11.15 million people had passed through, nudging past last year’s record by over one percent.
“This was the busiest year we’ve ever had,” said Steven C. Hennigan, executive director and CEO of the Lee County Port Authority. He credited the airport’s employees, airline partners, and business partners for their hard work, and thanked travelers for choosing RSW.

Delta led the way in December, carrying 217,698 passengers. Not far behind were Southwest (192,978), United (176,911), American (167,139), and JetBlue (98,595). The airport recorded 10,109 aircraft operations in December, down 2 percent from the year before.
Page Field, meanwhile, saw a bump, with 14,794 operations, a 5 percent jump over December 2024.
Southwest Florida International Airport holds its spot among the top 50 busiest airports in the country.
