Gulf Coast Symphony Brings “The Bridges of Madison County” to Life in Southwest Florida.
Right now, “The Bridges of Madison County” is lighting up the stage at the Music & Arts Community Center, running through March 7. The Gulf Coast Symphony, a staple in Southwest Florida’s arts scene since 1995, isn’t just putting on another show, they’re making a statement about community, creativity, and connection.
According to CEO and President Andrew Kurtz and Musical Director Julie Carver, it’s clear the symphony has changed a lot over the years, but its heart is still the same: make great music, keep it accessible, and make sure everyone feels like they’re part of something special.
This season, they’re going big with “The Bridges of Madison County.” Stage Director Ashley Coia is the creative force behind the production, shaping every detail on stage.
The Gulf Coast Symphony has come a long way from its early days, but one thing hasn’t changed: its commitment to bringing people together through the arts. Jason Drew’s visit offered a glimpse behind the curtain: real people, genuine passion, and a lot of music.
