Two Charlotte County Companies Advance in the “Coolest Thing Made in Florida” Competition

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (July 11, 2025) – Two Charlotte County companies have officially advanced to the next round of the “Coolest Thing Made in Florida” competition, a statewide celebration recognizing innovation and manufacturing excellence across the Sunshine State hosted by the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

The Charlotte County finalists are:
Baby Barrier Pool Fence
Hyper Glider by ProGlider Boats

The competition now enters its bracket-style voting round from July 15 through July 28, 2025. Supporters from across Florida can vote once per product each day at CoolestThingMadeInFlorida.com. The 16 products receiving the most votes will move on to the Top 16.

“This contest highlights the kind of ingenuity and impact that often starts right here in our local manufacturing facilities,” said Kay Tracy, director of Charlotte County Economic Development. “We’re proud to see Charlotte County businesses making waves across the state – and beyond.”

For businesses, residents, and fans eager to support the nominees, the Florida Chamber has provided a Social Media Toolkit to help spread the word. It can be accessed here:  https://tinyurl.com/2nc7bz4y
