The Women’s Resource Center (WRC), in partnership with the Florida Chamber of Commerce, will co-host a virtual Campaign School and Community Leadership Training on October 22-23 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The free, nonpartisan program is open to anyone interested in civic leadership, elected office, or serving in appointed positions.
Developed by the Florida Institute for Political Leadership, a Florida Chamber initiative, the two-day course provides participants with a comprehensive overview of state and local issues, guidance on preparing for public service, and training on effective campaign strategies. Sessions will be led by political experts, elected officials, professors, and community leaders.
WRC’s involvement supports its ongoing mission to empower women to pursue leadership opportunities and strengthen civic participation. The organization’s advocacy initiative, “Elevating Women’s Voices”, highlights the importance of diverse representation in decision-making roles and aims to reduce barriers that often deter women from running for office.
Registration for the virtual training is free and open to all genders. Participants can sign up at www.fipl.org/register. More information about the Women’s Resource Center and its advocacy programs is available at www.mywrc.org/empoweredadvocacy.
