PORT CHARLOTTE – Helping Hearts for Heroes will hold its annual “High Rollers for Heroes” fundraiser on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Riverwood Community Activity Center, 4250 Riverwood Drive in Port Charlotte.
The nonprofit organization, which provides housing and essential support for veterans in crisis, is hosting the casino-themed event to raise funds for emergency aid throughout Charlotte County and Southwest Florida.
Right at Home will host the evening, with co-sponsorship from Brookdale Senior Living, Wealthbridge Capital Management, Crews Bank & Trust, Boca to Broadway Entertainment, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Sarasota, and the Wyvern Hotel.
Guests will enjoy eight professional gaming tables, live DJ entertainment, dancing, and gourmet food catered by The Wyvern Hotel, along with beer, wine, and signature cocktails. Raffle prizes will also be available.
“This event helps ensure no veteran in our community faces those challenges alone,” said Shana Willis, executive director of Helping Hearts for Heroes. “We see veterans every day who are struggling; some are on the verge of homelessness, while others are trying to rebuild their lives after a setback.”
The organization is a 501(c)(3) that provides temporary housing, transportation, and essential supplies to veterans in need. Proceeds from the event will go directly to programs supporting veterans in crisis.
