Englewood Methodist Church Hosts 34th Annual Free Christmas Day Dinner

ENGLEWOOD — Englewood Methodist Church will host its 34th annual free Christmas Day Dinner on December 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall at 700 East Dearborn Street. The event is open to the community, and donations are appreciated but not required.

Guests will be seated quickly and served at their tables by volunteers. The menu includes roast turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, a roll and apple pie, along with drink options. Organizers noted that carry out and drive through service will not be available this year.

Parking is abundant, and a shuttle service will be provided if needed. Guests seeking the fastest seating are encouraged to enter through the courtyard doors. Handicap accessible entry is available from the parking lot sides.

For homebound residents, free meal delivery on December 25 is available by calling the church office at 941-474-5588 extension 101 by 5:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Callers should leave only their name and phone number to receive a confirmation callback.

The Christmas Dinner Committee said its mission is to welcome all, love all and serve an excellent meal so no one has to be alone on Christmas. More information is available at englewoodmethodist.com or by calling the church office Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
