Community Yard Sale, Newcomer Day Set for February 14 in North Port

Shoppers looking for bargains, handmade items and a morning out in the community can browse a wide mix of goods during the Community Yard Sale scheduled for Saturday, February 14, 2026.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to noon and blends the feel of a traditional yard sale with offerings from local crafters. Shoppers can expect gently used household items, unique handmade creations and other finds, with free parking and free admission available to the public.

The Community Yard Sale is also scheduled for Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 8 a.m. to noon. In the event of inclement weather, the sale will be rescheduled for the following weekend.

Space is available for sellers on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is required, with spaces priced at $20 per space and $10 per table. Interested sellers must complete the online Community Yard Sale Space form.

Food truck vendors may apply through the online application found under Vendor Opportunities. Submitting an application does not guarantee participation. Parks and Recreation staff will contact applicants within 72 business hours to discuss availability and status.

In addition to the yard sale, residents are invited to attend Newcomer Day at the George Mullen Activity Center the same day from 10 a.m. to noon. The free expo-style event, presented in collaboration with the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce, connects residents with local resources, programs and services.

Newcomer Day will feature information tables hosted by more than 40 community organizations, nonprofits, government agencies and businesses. The event is open to residents new to the area as well as those who have lived in North Port for several years.

Nonprofit organizations interested in participating in Newcomer Day must complete the online registration form. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis based on event needs. Business participation has reached capacity and a waitlist is being maintained by the North Port Area Chamber of Commerce.

For additional information about either event, contact North Port Parks and Recreation at 941-429-7275.
