Beachcomber Trading Post to Host First Annual Boat Parade

Beachcomber Trading Post on Manasota Key will host its First Annual Beachcomber Trading Post Boat Parade on Saturday, December 20, at 6 p.m., inviting residents and visitors to line the waterfront for an evening of decorated boats, live music and holiday atmosphere.

According to organizers, participating boats will depart from Beachcomber Trading Post, follow a set route along the Intracoastal Waterway and return to the Trading Post, where parade winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event.

Live music will be provided by master of ceremonies Dale Shumate. Captains Nick Drinnen and Monica Sheckler, aboard the Provider, are slated to lead the parade. Organizers also encouraged attendees to support Island Court Seafood and Drinnen and Sons for seasonal seafood purchases.

Due to limited parking on Manasota Key, organizers advised attendees to use Stumpy’s Free Ride Shuttle for transportation to and from the event.

Recommended viewing locations include Beachcomber Trading Post Manasota Key, SandBar Tiki & Grille, White Elephant Pub and Chadwick Park.
