Halloween is behind us, and now that we’re in November, we’re looking ahead to Thanksgiving, a time for gratitude and, of course, giving back. That’s what makes this next piece so important: The Coalition of South County Food Pantries just kicked off their Feed the Hungry drive. It runs until November 25, and every donation helps support five Venice food pantries.
Here’s what they’re asking for: nonperishable food (anything shelf-stable), boxed milk, pet food, and diapers. Think of the basics families depend on, plus the little extras that help everyone feel cared for.

If you want to pitch in, here’s where you can drop things off: Venice City Hall at 401 W. Venice Ave. (you’ll find collection boxes by the main entrance and at the Building Department), the Venice Police Department at 1575 E. Venice Ave., and all three city fire stations: 112 S. Harbor Dr., 200 N. Grove St., and 5300 Laurel Rd.
This drive might feel simple, but it’s meaningful. Every donation goes directly to those who need it, right here in our community. Thanks for taking part and making someone’s holiday season a little brighter.
