The Florida Department of Health in Charlotte County (DOH-Charlotte) is throwing its annual Back to School Bash for families on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Everything kicks off at 9 a.m. and wraps up at noon. Just head to the DOH-Charlotte building at 1100 Loveland Blvd. in Port Charlotte.
They’re offering a range of free services for kids, while supplies last, thanks to DOH-Charlotte and local community partners. Bring your children for hearing and vision screenings, haircuts, and bike helmet fittings, along with some hands-on bike safety tips.
DOH-Charlotte’s clinic staff will be there, ready to help with all your back-to-school needs. You’ll also get to meet folks from different organizations that support families. Learn more about physical and mental health resources, WIC, parenting support, substance use prevention, after-school programs, library services, public transportation, and help for students with disabilities.
The Florida Department of Health, accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board, works alongside state, county, and community partners to protect, promote, and improve the health of everyone in Florida.
