Santa Pancake Breakfast
Charlotte County Public Safety is hosting the 25th Annual Santa Pancake Breakfast from 9 to 11am on Friday, December 20th in the parking lot of the Charlotte County Public Safety Building, 26571 Airport Road in Punta Gorda. The public is invited to the free pancake breakfast sponsored by HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital. Santa will arrive on a fire engine at 9:30am. Families can enjoy a free breakfast, pictures with Santa, children’s activities, live Christmas music and demonstrations by Charlotte County Fire & EMS and the Charlotte County Sherriff’s Office. Helicopters and equipment will be on display from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Public Works, Florida Forest Service and more. Englewood Area Youth Little League Baseball is accepting early bird registration for the Spring season through Sunday, December 15. Cost is $100-$150, depending on age & league. Late registration, Monday, December 16 through Tuesday, December 31, is an additional $25. Skills assessments are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, January 8  9 at 5:30pm and 9:30am on Saturday, January 11 (Rookies & T-Ball players do not need to attend). Practice starts the week of January 13 at the Englewood Sports Complex (1300 S. River Road), and games start Saturday, February 2nd.
