The Lemon Bay High School Marching Band, known as the Marching Mantas, finished their 2026 season with a tremendous achievement: straight Superior ratings from every judge at the Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA) District 11 Marching Band Music Performance Assessment. This isn’t just an everyday achievement; out of fifteen bands, only eight pulled it off, and the Marching Mantas stood proudly among them.
Under the direction of Philip J. Eyrich, the band performed their 2026 field show, “Seasons Change,” at Manatee High School. Every judge in every category awarded them the highest possible marks. All the late practices, the early mornings, and the dedication from students, instructors, and their families paid off in a big way.
Capping off their marching season, the Mantas gave a final local performance of “Seasons Change” at Veterans Stadium, right at home. If you want to see the excitement and pride they brought to the field, you can catch highlights and celebration reels on the Lemon Bay High School Band’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
It’s moments like these that remind everyone what can happen when a group pulls together with passion and hard work. The Marching Mantas truly earned their season, and the spotlight.
