The Curtain Rises on a New Act: Susana Falcon Takes the Stage as Lemon Bay Playhouse’s New Executive Director

A new chapter begins at Lemon Bay Playhouse in June 2026. There’s been a mix of nostalgia and excitement at the Playhouse. After years of guiding the theatre with dedication and heart, Lori Sigrist retires, leaving behind a foundation built on passion and hard work. Her influence will continue to shape the place for years, and everyone at the theatre feels grateful for the legacy she leaves.

Susana Falcon has stepped into the role of Executive Director at Lemon Bay Playhouse. The Englewood REVIEW recently featured Susana in the Englewood Profile, shining a spotlight on her story. You can read Susana’s full interview at this link.

Susana brings a rich background to Lemon Bay, having worked as an author, educator, and director. She’s no stranger to the stage, with experience that stretches from Off-Broadway productions and regional theatre to European tours, cruise ship shows, film, and television. Originally from New York, Susana has called Florida’s Gulf Coast home for over twenty years and has deep family roots in Englewood.

Looking ahead, she isn’t just handling executive duties. This fall, Susana will also direct “Bell, Book and Candle” for the playhouse.

Susana Falcon isn’t new to Lemon Bay; she’s already been a vital part of its community. With her creativity, energy, and love for the arts, Susana steps in her new role, ready to lead the theatre into its next act. The future feels bright.
