On Monday, July 13, 2026, Fletcher, a dog with a knack for adventure, found himself deep inside a storm drain in the Portico community. Lee County deputies showed up with a drone, hoping to spot him in the darkness. With the drone’s live camera leading the way, Fort Myers Shores firefighters began cutting into the pipe, carefully, piece by piece.
