Cape Coral Councilwoman Rachel Kaduk’s DUI Trial Set for July

Councilwoman Rachel Kaduk showed up in court last week as her DUI case progressed. The judge set her trial for July 14 at 8 a.m. as she faces charges of driving under the influence and refusing a breathalyzer.

Police arrested Kaduk back in December. Cape Coral officers had pulled her over, and their body cam footage shows the moment they told her to walk heel to toe along a line, then ended up putting her in handcuffs and leading her to the back of a squad car.

After that, officers took her to police headquarters and then booked her into the Lee County jail.

Kaduk pleaded not guilty and finished DUI school. Her trial call didn’t last long, just six seconds, before the judge made the trial date official.

Rachel Kaduk is a Florida politician who currently serves as the Cape Coral City Council member for District 7. Elected to the position in November 2024, she represents the same conservative district where she grew up and went to school. Aside from her political duties, she works professionally as a residential loan officer.
