We love our Pioneer Days, and this year marks a huge milestone: 70 years of Englewood’s favorite tradition. The theme this time? “70s Disco.” Time to dig out those bell-bottoms, find something shimmery, and get ready to dance.
There’s so much packed into this celebration: the Diaper Derby, the Watermelon Eating Contest, the Cardboard Boat Races. And let’s be honest, nothing beats the parade, especially with a disco twist. We’re counting down the days.
If you want a little nostalgia before things kick off, check out Englewood REVIEW’s throwback video that dives into the 1970s and highlights unforgettable parade moments. Maybe you’ll even spot yourself, a friend or family member in some of the old photos.
Every Labor Day Weekend, our town lights up for Pioneer Days. To make planning easy, grab the special edition of the Englewood REVIEW on August 28th; it’s packed with details, schedules, and insider tips.
A huge shout-out to the Englewood Chamber for making all of this happen. Seventy years and counting. Let’s make this the most unforgettable Pioneer Days yet!
